I got lucky this past month too!!! I didn't have a model 6 1/2 in my collection - now I do. This one was found in southern California. No side mounted clock, but an original Amount Purchased top sign and a super name in raised letters on the lid. Yep, there still is some good stuff out there!!!

Very nice machine as well. This was my first 6 1/2 also. By any chance, would you have a lid plate that would match the patina? I have others for possible trade.

Both Art's & Todd's Model 6 1/2's are proof that good machines are still out there for collector's to find, providing collector's are willing to make the effort to search out the great machines, and willing to step up to the plate and spend money to buy them. Congratulations to both Art and Todd on their latest finds. Keep up the good work.

Finding good machines is not hard, finding them reasonably priced is very difficult, but finding model 6's for $500 is next to impossible.

Todd, great job finding that one. I guess there are some real treasures still out there. What are the chances of you and Art finding the same register's at the same time. Good job boys
