I recently acquired a nice “raised letters" plate. I would like your help to try to identify where this plate belongs. I would think posting my description on the Club website under “Show and Tell" may inspire a knowledgeable collector to solve the mystery. The plate measures 17 5/8" across X 3” high and measure 17 1/4" from left side mounting hole to right side mounting hole. This plate is much larger than other plates in my collection. The plate is nickel plated red brass. There is no bend in the plate as it sits flat, and there are no markings on the backside of the plate. I originally thought it would belong on the lower backside of a model #4 scroll National, but when I held the plate to the lower back of the model #4, it just doesn’t look correct. Can anyone out there solve this mystery? Thank you for your help.
