    When I picked up a model 31, I knew it was a rare cash register and finding parts would be next to impossible. It was missing a top plate so I had to make one until I am lucky enough to locate one. You can see the mitered joint on the right corners and the cast pattern layout worked well with the location of the 45 degree cuts. It just needs to be buffed out and Once it's plated ,I don't think it will be visible

    I think it looks great..good job..did you use a brass base to make the frame?
    I am in need of a couple shoulder screws that the lid pivots on, Anyone have any?

    I used the casting from a top of a # 2 some one gave me. A base is a good idea also

    I AM STILL IN NEED OF A SMALL DRAWER FRONT FOR A SMALL AMERICAN REGISTER. IT IS ABOOUT THE SIZE OF A 216.
