Don’t be afraid to tear your drawers apart if the are in bad shape. This one had two layers of old ugly paint on it and then the stain. I took every piece out, sanded them and then stained them while I had it apart. Cleaned the rails and spring holder up. Then clear coated it then I reassemble it. Turned out pretty good. Don’t forget to clean you screw heads also.

Thank you for the tip. If I get any bad shape cash drawers I will for sure look into repairing them the best I can do. I am daring & always up to a challenge. That is what it takes in the antique cash register collecting world
