Flag springs & Rivets.

I use flag springs from parts machine registers. Easier than trying to locate specific items. I do a lot of non NCR registers and the flags are thinner than those used on Nationals, so I had some indication flags water cut at a machine shop. I go to the local ACE & True Value Hardware Store and purchase small tinner rivets. Try any OLD hardware store for these kind of rivets and springs.
