  • Received the following email from a lady with a brass cash register question. I googled the area code and it is in Texas. Gave her my opinion of the cash registers value. Perhaps some member can assist her. I suggested she advertise the register on craigslist as the best way of selling it This is all I know.

    Dear Sir,

My name is Debbie Willhite and I am wondering if either of you could help me. I have an old Stevensons cash register and need to see about selling it. Do either of you know how I can determine an accurate value of this register? Who would you recommend? Below are pictures of this machine.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
    Sincerely,
    Debbie Willhite

"Stevenson Cash Register Co. of Manchester" Great Britain, was a second hand NCR cash register company that probably started up in the mid 1910's. They bought up old NCR cash registers, repaired them, put their name on them and resold them as refurbished.

  • Thanks Robert. I told the lady it was most likely a second hand register redone by the Stevenson Company but I did not know they were out of Great Britain. Will pass the info to her.
