  • Don't forget to make plans on attending the Spring 2019 swap meet at the Windy City Coin Op Show on March 29th. Meeting will be at 7:00 PM at the Carol Stream Illinois Hampton Inn.

Our swap meet will start at 8:00 AM and go until noon. During this time the Coin Op Show Vendors will be setting up. CRCC members reserving a table will be charged $15.00 a table and that includes admission. CRCC members not setting up who just want to attend will pay a $15.00 admission fee from 8:00 until noon. After 12:00 PM admission charge will be $50.00. CRCC members renting tables will be allowed to stay all day if they wish. Set up will be inside a fairgrounds building. Make your motel reservations soon so as to get the CRCC discounted room rate. Hampton is 4 miles from the DuPage County Fairgrounds.

You may find treasures such as jukeboxes, antique cash registers, slot machines, arcade games, gumball, peanut & candy machines, neon signs, petroliana, old toys, collectibles, coin op machines, antiques, pinball, and all types of antique advertising!

At the Fall 2019 CRCC meeting the decision was made to reduce from two to one swap meets and meeting a year. In 2020 the CRCC will be having our swap meet at the Springfield, Ohio Extravaganza in mid September with a meeting on Friday evening.

The Windy City Show Promoter was most accommodating to us, but there was a lack of foot traffic both times we did the show to make it not worth our time and effort. There was a rumor about Windy City doing a show in August at Pheasant Run that sounded inviting but after the initial rumor nothing materialized.

There will be many CRCC members at the Morphy's Auction on March 28th and 29th and we will most likely brainstorm and come up with some new ideas. As it stands now the only swap meet and meeting is still scheduled for the Springfield Extravaganza in mid September. At this meeting we will vote on new CRCC officers. If nobody steps up to fill the positions the CRCC could easily be dissolved.
