  • A young fellow sent me the following email "I need your help identify a cash register I have" with three photo's. Told him it was a model 322 with a serial number of 137202 and in a Fleur De Liz case design pattern. told him that I am not familiar with 300 series registers being in FDL style case designs, and that the wide No Sale Flag would indicate the mechanism was made prior to 1902. I asked if there was any sticker on the bottom of the drawer which is shown in the forth photo he sent. Matching model and serial numbers for the tags and drawer sticker, and sticker shows machine date was 189? which would be why the mechanism has the wide no sale indicator. Possibly a foreign NCR or one put together with left over parts, or maybe special order this way? I am curious to your opinions. Machine is in NW Minnesota. He also asked what the value might be. I gave him what I thought it might be, but again would be interested in hearing what members feel the valuation is.

  • It is not a 300 class. It is an out of sequence model. The 322 I've seen had the check device with the inside tape spools with thesolid top.
