Another Register Info Request

Another Register Info Request was created by NAV
I received the email below asking for info on a Peninsular 23E. While I am very familiar with the Cast Iron Peninsular Registers I never known any to have a model number. I'm guessing the 23E was stamped on the back side of a casting. As CRCCI President I just post the emails received and don't give an appraisal of the value of a register especially with such limit data and no photo's available.Like the other email requests, I have asked for more details and a few photo's. If any CRCCI member wants to give appraisal, please inform me so, and I will forward these emails to you. I try to be tactful and not hurt the feelings of those individuals inquiring about the value of their machines, but have come to the conclusion that most individuals inquiring have the impression they have found solid gold, and hope the value is higher than what they would sell the machine for.

I have recently inherited a Peninsular Co. Cash Register 23 E. It's in good condition and in working order, just missing a few part. Just looking for information on how much they are worth? Or if it's worth invest money into it to have it restored? Any information would be greatly appreciated or any other websites or contact information that could help.

Thanks for your help,

I received some info on the Peninsular Cash Register posted above along with some photo's. One of the better machines that has
been sent to me thru the site.

Thank you for all the information. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Do you any idea how old the cash register is? And the measurement from center hole to center hole on the top of the register is 6" 7/8.
