So where does a mod 11 nickel plated fine scroll brass machine fit into the scheme of things? I can't find any ref. to it.

They model 11 was produced from 1896 t0 1904 with a nickel plated "Ionic" style cast iron cabinet. This was a cheaper version of the model "5". The Ionic machines also had larger models like the 13, 14, 15 etc. Page 134 in the book. One that's not in the book that was built with the Amount Purchased in the cabinet to compete with the US & World cash register is really rare & I wish I had one. I think it was a model 23???

Very nice Mike. But neither one of you guys answered my question. I'm not talking about the ionic version. I have the scroll version.

Yes, they made a scroll version of the 11, 13 and14,. Haven't seen a 15 size. I think most were brass for salty areas, but there are cast iron scroll registers. Same machines.

Ten years ago I saw a brass scroll model 13 in my development. It had the stamp brass key checks. Otherwise it looked like a scroll #7 with a solid top.

    HELLO DIALMAN,

I HAVE COLLECTED AN EXAMPLE OF EACH OF THE SCROLL CASE PATTERN MODELS, #11, #13 and #14 AND HAVE HAD EACH ONE RESTORED. THEY ARE NOT COMMON REGISTERS. THE SCROLL CASE PARTS OF THESE MODELS ARE A MIXTURE OF BRASS AND CAST IRON. TAKE A MAGNET TO THE DIFFERENT CASE PARTS OF YOUR MODEL #11 AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN.

You are right Art. My whole machine is nickel plated iron except the whole lid and dust covers. Thanks again.
