I moved the topic to this category for greater exposure.
You should post your machine pictures. Remember the best resolution for an image is 800x600.

This is very cool. It does have the wrong drawer front on it though.
I've never seen one after over 40 years doing this. It's like a snub nose model 5??

    Hello Dep,

Yes unfortunately , drawers not right and the insides are gone.
I'm putting the 211 inside. The keys will be hanging out.
    The drawer is shorter.
Did the front resemble the 5 and the 0 ?
    Thanks
    Sam

I would think the drawer front would be like a 5 scroll
I would also think it had short key stems..I have them if needed

Is the case all brass or cast iron???

That style 24 isn't listed in the abandoned register list. At least the list I have.

    That is a great machine,

You may have a problem with the 216 mech. There are going to be some differences. The 216 Mech has a flash and would need removed, also I think the indicators are going to be too short. I think the scroll case takes the longer indicator stems.

Still it is a great machine worth the effort to restore. Just proves, there are still good ones out there to be found.

Here are pictures of another model 24. Pictures curtesy of Dick Wicher. I am told this machine was from Australia.
