The summer issue of the newsletter is outstanding. We got the participation that has been missing for some time.
The contributions by Robert Schelling , Gabriele Treichter, Bill Navratil, Kenneth Konet, and Mike Zitowski along with the continuing greatly appreciated articles by Dick Witcher were well worth reading. The editor continues to put together a very presentable publication.

I want to thank club founder Mike Hennessey for taking the time out of his busy schedule to coordinate getting the finished copies of the Bronze Idol from the printer and taking the time to label each envelope and mailing them all out..

The newsletter was missing the "message from the president" section.

Could it be possible that the CRCCI President doesn't care enough about the CRCCI to submit an article? After all, when the club bank account dipped below the point of having sufficient funds to publish the newsletter, the President remained silent on that issue too.

I paid for the printing of the newsletter out of my pocket. we all have seen the membership go down hill. I believe that if the newsletter is dropped the club is done.. $532. I'm hoping to get some of it back as the treasury has the money?

I received my copy recently and really enjoyed it, great layout and easy to read. I noticed that the postage was just under US$7.00 I am willing to have an increase of US$10 to assist in the payment at this stage, I know that this may not be enough but it a small step. Someone has to look at the cost of running the club. Milton

    What is the real story?
Have any of the three financing the last newsletter been repaid?
A complete detailed accounting of the actual costs of publishing the newsletter and a breakeven
cost of running the club must be discussed at the next club meeting and necessary changes made.

The true story will only be know if we have some TRANSPARENCY and a full financial accounting. The treasurer REFUSES to make public the finances of the club, and the president and vice president make no effort to inform the membership.

Last week the CRCCI President posted "wrong both mike and myself were putting up the money-till the club had the funds ,we needed the mailing list and was unable to get it.once we had the list it was done".

Today, a member said "I paid for the printing of the newsletter out of my pocket. we all have seen the membership go down hill. I believe that if the newsletter is dropped the club is done.. $532. I'm hoping to get some of it back as the treasury has the money?"

I tend to agree with the member. This member has always made an extremely conscientious effort to promote the hobby. He set up at the Chicago Show twice a year for many years, has always contributed informative articles to the newsletter, and has had an informational web site for cash register enthusiasts to reference. In a time of financial crisis, this member stood up, shown leadership, and paid for the newsletter to be mailed out, without any fanfare. In my opinion, it is shameful that the crcci president and vice president posted they were putting up the money to make it happen. Just more old CRCCI SPIN & DECEPTION. Listen to the President and VP talk and you get the impression they are the real movers and shakers in the Brass Cash Register World. Yet is was a member who opened up his wallet and paid so the CRCCI could stay afloat.
