Outstanding Swap Meet was created by notsosharp
The swap meet was outstanding. It was indoors and combined with a coin- op group in the main building at Kane County.
We had at least 8 or 9 tables going with lots of parts and cash register items. There were many cash registers for sale with a large number made available by the coin- op participants. There weren't many if any high end registers for sale but it would have been a field day for a new collector. There were a lot of customers and I for one met a lot of nice and interesting people. If you weren't able to attend you missed the best one yet.

Thanks for the up date Jim. Sounded good. Eight or nine tables indicates that the "usual suspects" were once again set up. I hope to be there in the spring if healthy. What was the best find of the show?

The item getting the most interest at the swap meet was an unrestored fine scroll NCR 2 with an extended base.
Todd also brought an awesome 442 electric top sign with original glass. All in all lots of goodies available.

I purchased some original NCR tools for removing keystems from 400/500 class machines, an English Renaissance top sign, a saloon interior book with some great pictures, and some other miscellaneous parts.

It is a great new venue for the swapmeet. I would have brought more stuff had I known.

That's a great book. Roger K has a new book called American Saloons and its filled with cash registers and old coin op machines. Those books have more on location photos than any other books I've seen. Highly recommend

I AGREE, booth books are great. I bought them when they first came out and used them as inspiration for designing my basement
bar as a display piece. Incorporated pieces parts of several front bars and back bars. Due to size restriction, couldn't duplicate those hugh front & back bars. My belief is Brass Cash Registers should be properly displayed.
