How many copies of the CRCCI newsletter were mailed out, and what is the cost of printing and mailing per each newsletter?

Under the membership directory, there are only 71 names listed. I am going to assume that is the total number of current members. That number is WAY down just from a couple years ago. The club had always been in the 150 plus range.

Under which CRCCI Presidents Watch has the club lost the most membership? Can anyone offer and reasons for why a big decline in membership? Could it be a lack of leadership and direction? I'm told the current membership stands at 68 once the deceased and non members were eliminated, thus the reason I asked how many newsletters were recently mailed out. Surely someone should have a handle on this number

Also, why I am asking questions, what did it cost to update the WEB SITE that took two years working 24/7 to update? Surely, someone should know the exact cost?

Aren't the 70 in the member directory just the members that are registered on the site?? We should have more members than that.

Don't know, that is why I asked. Looks to me like info on CRCCI finances and membership lists are all classified info. Example, my request to know how many issues of the newsletter were mailed out and the cost to print and mail. No transparency in the CRCCI. These are questions that should be asked and answered at the next CRCCI meeting in a few days.

The member directory had always been a complete list of all members, not just the ones registered on the site. Unless this has changed because of the new website.

There were two lists on the old site. The complete membership there hadn't been updated for a long time. The other list was the list registered.

There are two lists on this site also, one under the member's area, then another under the forum.

70 may be all there is. I asked Chris for the numbers.

I recall Kenny being a lifetime member but don't see him on the list.

I was talking to a past member that dropped out a few years ago. He said that the big reason for dropping out was the bickering among the members. He did say that he enjoyed reading the newsletter. Most of the members are not computer people so the web page is not a big draw & I personally have always thought it was a waste of money.
I have seen a number of videos over the years, like old films from National. We might put another category with some of these films???
We have tried a number of things over the years to try to get new members. These suggestions came from many of the people that are writing about the club officers. The problem is declining interest in all antiques. Look at the auction in Los Vegas last year. It's just not a the leaderships fault. I think Mike Z. has done great job of getting us into the Antique weekly & other pubs.
I did notice that The Dayton Historical society combined with the Caroline Park & now have a beautiful park with tons of registers on display. Maybe we could affiliate with them & put out a section about our club. We would have to be a lot more professional. Maybe have our newsletter for sale at their gift shop???
Any thoughts???
Dick
