    Team:

I'm new to collecting and new to this site.
    Question:
Where can I go to get the brass wood screws that hold the draw plate in place. I have
a 400 model and in need of 6 or 8 of these screws. I'm almost finished restoring this baby and that's what is left to do.

Thanks and congratulate me on m first post!

Looks like you have a Home Depot by you, go there and see it they have any. Or contact Bill Hall or Bob Depenbock. Either one of these guys can help you. Make sure that you don’t screw the top screws in too far and penetrate the inside of the drawer.
You did a nice job on your restoration. Enjoy your register.

New wood screws today are NOT red brass. Plenty of yellow available. Make sure you use slotted head and NOT Phillip head screws.

TIP. One of the reason veteran collectors who know what they are doing is buy used junk registers and use them for parts like the proper wood screws. To some people it doesn't matter if the screws are the wrong color, to others it does.
