    Saw this one online. Any ideas what it is? Probably homemade but the brass around the newer mechanism is pretty interesting.

    I don't know what the base machine is but the electric top sign & the receipt paper supply reel are from a 500 series & would be nice to have. Someone had too much time on their hands.

    I took a better look at it & it is really is unusual The center machine cabinet looks like it was professionally made for that machine. There were a couple of companies that made a brass cabinet for their electronic machines but I never saw one that was a semi modern mechanical machine in a brass cabinet?? You found a winner or a puzzler. Tell us more about your source??

    Hi Dick, hope you are doing well. Found the picture online and the owner has no idea what she has. NFS currently as she bought it on a whim.

    The large tape reel and top sign sign are the best parts. If the price was right I would buy it for the parts. Never seen anything like the center portion either like you said.
    Certainly looks like someone spent a lot of time to make that cover judging by the design.
