    Hello
Just found this club and immediately joined. I have an NCR 356 that I had restored in 1995. Company that did restoration seems
to be no more. So after 25 years, what's left of the lacquer is yellowed and the brass is totally dull, but not green. So I'm looking for info on how to remove any remaining lacquer, how to safely polish the brass and what to use (lacquer again?) to protect it. This register was purchased by my grandfather for his grocery store, that my dad eventually ran. I have few vague memories of the store, but I remember exactly where the register sat behind the counter. Also does anyone know of a source for custom top signs?

Thanks for any info you can impart
