OUCH. This is the register needing some assistance. Perhaps some of our more talented members can help this lady out.

Thank you so much for posting this. I hope we'll find someone to help.

The serial number is 1430869. Size 587(2)E-5F.

Will you let me know if someone responds to the post, or should I keep my eye on your website.

Again, thank you so much. Let me know if there's any more information that would be helpful.

Mary Vano

Hi Mary,

Unfortunately, we don't have any register collector's in your area. I recommend Bob Dep at Vintage Cash Register in Arleta, Ca for parts. Bob has been in the business over four decades and would have the parts you need. You can contact him at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I posted your email and photo's, but most of our members who have the ability to assist you are all in their 70s & 80s and would not be willing to tackle this major of project. I will post again.

Bill

Hello again,

We’re still not having any luck here in Arkansas finding someone to help repair our cash register. I don’t know if you’ve posted our pictures on your website, but I thought I’d check and see if you’ve had any leads?

In the meantime, I know there are some replacement parts that we’ll need - the crank handle, and the rod (I don’t know what it’s called) that operates the drawers from the register… can you advise if you know someone from whom we can purchase those parts?

Thank you again,

Mary Vano

Hello,

I have a brass National Cash Register, ca. 1910. It was my grandfather’s. Unfortunately, we had a moving company bring it to Little Rock, Arkansas, and they dropped it at least twice in transit. It needs significant repair. I came across your website when researching this topic.

I’m looking for someone (hopefully in Arkansas) who might be interested and able to repair it. I’m writing to ask if you might have a connection with someone in this state, or maybe could offer me some suggestions.

Thank you so much,
Mary Vano
