Are there any record of the number of brass cash registers manufactured by The National Cash Register Company?

They built the brass register until 1916 & I have found a few over the years that were built after 1916, I guess for special orders. The serial numbers were up to 1,600,000 at the end of 1916. The early ones were wood cabinets & a few were built with flat metal cabinets but were brass. Toward the end they were building the flat steel cabinets at the same time as the brass. There is no way to tell how many were brass but my guess is at least 1,000,000.

    Thanks Dick,

I just watched some of your videos last night, they are very informative. I may be interested in your video on Hallwood Cash Registers if it is available.
