I have a split indication model 3 that someone replaced the original middle dust cover on.

Does anyone have a similar 3 way split indication? What are the categories for your split?

I want to get a new middle made but I don't know what I should have it read.

    Thanks

Is there a drawer tag on the machine? If so, do a google search of the name and city to try and find out what kind of business it was in. That would give you a better indication of what it might of originally had.
You would hate to have cigar, grocery, and soda if the machine was originally in a hotel or a hardware store.

I think I recognize that machine, does it have the name on the lid?

    Yes, it does.

It has part of the label, I'll have to check if it still has a location.

There is a guy in Alabama that does great work. You send him the font to use and he matches it. He hand cuts the letters. The better pictures you give him the better he does. You also need the bottom and top dust covers done for the separation line that runs through them.

Thanks Bill, that might work, I looked up the name Fred A. Thayer and he was a pharmacist in Chicago and had the The Fred A. Thayer Prescription Druggist store at least until 1902. Per Todd's advise.

Rick, do you have the contact info for the guy that can do the cover? I heard another collector could do it too but I haven't contacted him yet.
