Did you let the seller know? Sometimes it's lack of knowledge and not deception. Hopefully they will change their description

NO, NO, NO. You are to new and inexperienced to understand the cash register game. Many people, not all, knowingly try to pass off reproductions as original pieces. I have even left my guard down a couple times and took the word of the ebay seller, only to have to result to pay pal to refund my money for the bogus purchase. Use caution and don't ever give seller's the benefit of doubt on questionable reproduction parts. Not a lot of Ethics or Integrity out there. If you have any doubt consider it to be Deception.

I understand what your saying and I know there is a lot of deception out there. My point was that it could be an honest mistake unless you have had problems with this seller before. I have written sellers many times to correct information or educate them on an item that I know about. You will not really know if this is a deceptive seller unless you give them the chance to make good. If you contact them and they don't change their ad then they are probably a shady dealer but on the other hand if they correct the ad you have not just protected yourself but you have helped the person who might have bought it thinking it was original. If a person is deceptive on their ads I have no problem reporting them to ebay but they have to be given the chance first. Like I said, you may know this seller from previous dealings and if he is a liar than he should be removed from ebay all togethet. I am on my phone and have not seen the ad yet. Thank you for the heads up though

Follow up. I contacted the seller and told him it's the strong opinion that his sign is a repro. He thanked me and pulled the auction. He said that he will have it checked by an expert and relish it appropriately. So at least for now he is doing the right thing.
