I ship many many 313's as you know..I use the heavy duty computer box 24 x 24 x 20---8.00 @ u-haul
and I line the inside of the box on all 6 sides with 3-4" thick styrofoam I get for free from most every furniture store
Remove top sign, lock register with no. 2 key, remove glass and marble, wrap it in bubble wrap, lay it on its side and pack it with styrofoam so It cannot move an inch..It gets wherever in perfect condition every time--cost =100.00 or less , or much less most the time.

I know that it costs a lot less to ship a 313 FedEx about $60 compared to UPS at $100 or more from the last time a eBay seller friend of mine shipped a register just last year, but maybe things have changed? Hope this may help!
